Yogurberry Frozen Yogurt

The frozen yogurt craze is in the air! Yogurberry, as the name suggests, is the combination of two words. Yogurt and berry. The chain was first formed in Korea and subsequently penetrated the market in other countries such as the US, China and Malaysia. If the youngsters knew that Yogurberry originated Korea, I’m pretty sure the outlets will be packed with K-fans. J-fans can take a hike.

However finding a Chinese restaurant with proper 1st-world customer service, cleanliness, hygiene and off course, healthy cooking style is a challenge. Having been guinea-pigging around restaurants in Shanghai, Ding Tai Fung rocketed to my number one choice.

J. Co’s Fat-Free Yogurt

J. Co is synonymous with donuts and coffee – so what’s up with the yogurt? How has a non related foodstuff make its way to the menu? There is no official answer to that but I suppose that J. Co is diversifying to survive the competition with the likes of Big Apple (not to forget the good ol’ Dunkin Donuts).

Carl’s Junior – yet another fast food franchise aimed at cashing in on society’s fast paced life. Step aside, Mc Donalds and KFC, Carl’s Junior is here to pawn j00! The servings are much larger and better there – an indication that the franchise is intended for people with a high spending power. A simple combo (set meal) would easily cost somewhere around RM 20! It is not tough to spot a Carl’s Junior – especially if you are in upmarket shopping complexes.
