It’s not a big and established joint so don’t bring your girlfriend along especially on your first date if you are afraid of being called EL-CHEAPO. If you’re with your friends, no need to worry. Everyone is an EL-CHEAPO then! Eh, the food isn’t that cheap too anyhow!

So what on earth is this? If you guessed Nasi Lemak, you are not Chinese enough! If you guessed Chicken Rice, you are not Malay enough! If you guessed Lemon Chicken Rice… you cheater! So how does the Lemon Chicken Rice taste? It was nice! But maybe that opinion is biased as I was hungry when I ate it. The lemon juice wasn’t too sour nor sweet. The chicken… tasted like chicken. You can’t expect chicken to taste like pork can’t you? (I would very much like it). The rice was fine. It was just normal white rice.

I give the Lemon Chicken Rice a 3/5. It costs RM 7.90 per serving by the way.

Yam cakes! Don’t you love yam cakes? If you don’t… LIKE THEM! It’s okay if you don’t like Penang Receipe’s Yam Cake. They seem to have too much flour in the ingredients. You are eating more flour than Yam! I strongly discourage having the Yam Cake at Penang Receipe. Try it somewhere else. Preferably hawker stalls =P.

It costs RM 6.90 and I give it a 2/5.

This is a…. bowl of Kuey Teow Soup. There are servings of fishballs, fishcakes, chicken and whatever you see inside! It was edible. But I guess there is nothing to shout about! It is just a more expensive bowl of Kuey Teow Soup you can get outside! It costs RM 6.90.

I give it a 2/5
