J. Co’s Fat-Free Yogurt

J. Co is synonymous with donuts and coffee – so what’s up with the yogurt? How has a non related foodstuff make its way to the menu? There is no official answer to that but I suppose that J. Co is diversifying to survive the competition with the likes of Big Apple (not to forget the good ol’ Dunkin Donuts).

Western Bacon Combo at Carl’s Junior

Carl’s Junior – yet another fast food franchise aimed at cashing in on society’s fast paced life. Step aside, Mc Donalds and KFC, Carl’s Junior is here to pawn j00! The servings are much larger and better there – an indication that the franchise is intended for people with a high spending power. A simple combo (set meal) would easily cost somewhere around RM 20! It is not tough to spot a Carl’s Junior – especially if you are in upmarket shopping complexes.

Kampar Beef Noodles

Kampar, Ipoh is well known for UTAR (University Tunku Abdul Rahman) and KTAR (Kolej Tunku Abdul Rahman) which provides private tertiary education to students. Kampar is a town with little to shout about. When compared to the nightlife of Kuala Lumpur, they are of two different worlds. The pace of life in Kampar is much slower or rather peaceful.

Mango Lassi and Claypot Chicken Rice at T Cafe

Cameron Highlands is well known for its vegetable produce and strawberries. It is also a favourite spot for holiday goers and couples (especially on Valentines Day). If you are going to be at Cameron Highlands for a few days or a few hours for that matter, you would need to find a place to eat! T Cafe is located beside (above) Mary Brown and opposite the bus terminal at Tanah Rata. There is a parking area nearby so fret not about finding parking!

Necrotizing Fasciitis – flesh-eating disease/ bacteria

Necrotizing fasciitis is a rare bacterial infection that can destroy skin and the soft tissues beneath it, including fat and the tissue covering the muscles (fascia). Because these tissues often die rapidly, a person with necrotizing fasciitis is sometimes said to be infected with “flesh-eating” bacteria. The most common type of bacteria causing necrotizing fasciitis is streptococcus pyogenes.
