Vengic 12 cm CPU Fan

I recently bought a 12 cm CPU fan to cool down my overheating ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe motherboard. Owners of this particular motherboard would have known that the chip fan fails after about a month of usage and it fails. Unlucky me not to know about it. If I did, I would have sent my motherboard for warranty or perhaps I would not even have chosen it! Anyway, it is still a great piece of semiconductor. Love it.

Right, back to the Vengic 12 cm CPU fan. I didn’t have that particular brand in my mind when I shopped for one. It just appealed to me because it was cheap. I paid only RM 15.90 for it. Comparing it to other brands, it is much cheaper. However, what you pay is what you get!

The fan might have came off the shelf cheap but there is definitely a defect with my unit! I noticed that my fan wasn’t even spinning when my computer decided to crash while playing Grid ( it’s an awesome game by the way )! Inspected the fan and noticed that it faced some resistance at a certain point as it makes a complete revolution. Oiled the components but to no avail.

Remember, what you pay is what you get! For quality, pay a bit more to buy a Coolermaster or Sliverstone. Vengic is definitely off the list for me!
