Lipton Yellow Label Tea – Hirameki
Posted by Christopher
If you have been watching Japanese anime a lot, the word Hirameki might sound familiar (watch Samurai X / Rurouni Kenshin). Hirameki means ‘flash’ or ‘insight’ (in the Japanese language, of course). We will not be talking about Japanese animes for now but rather a new line of teabags made by Lipton. I’m sure many of us have drank a cup of Lipton’s without realising it!
I managed to obtain a Hirameki sachet for sampling. The sachet comes in a recognizable yellow packet. Of course if you are purchasing them off the shelf, they would come in boxes of 50’s or 100’s. The tagline “Delicious infusion of the leaf goodness’ gave me the impression that I was up for something really good. Both in terms of taste and health benefits.
Taste wise, it was bad. Not to worry, it didn’t taste like ‘coffee’. Even so, I suppose that a hardcore tea drinker wouldn’t mind the taste at all. As for me, it was just that – I didn’t like it and it gave me a ‘not so good feeling’.
The health benefits of drinking tea applies to all types of tea. Tea is basically well known for being an antioxidant. There you have it ladies. Your answer to look young! Other than that, tea has also other benefits such as boosting the immune system and mental alertness. Search for it online and you will find the many benefits of drinking tea!
Do not discouraged from trying Lipton’s Hirameki tea. Maybe you would like it! For other tea suggestions, try green tea, black tea, oolong tea or white tea!
