Two eggs a serving will contain enough cholesterol to suffice your entire day’s cholesterol allowance. However between the lesser of the evil, removing part of the yolk and just having the albumen (whites) can significantly reduce the amount of cholesterol intake.

Why are cholesterol dangerous you ask? In layman’s term, our blood vessels are like pipes, promoting the flow of our blood. Cholesterol are deposit of fats which clog our blood vessel. Just like a piping system, as the clogage worsens, the entire system will fail, in this case it would be our hearts that would fail.
In most recent studies, research proven that eating an egg or two a day will not increase our cholesterol levels, contrasting with the former school of thought. In fact, it was learnt that most of our blood cholesterol are made out of dietery fat and not dietery cholesterol. Hence, the beneficial protein power packed in an egg outweighs its part-and-parcel downside, the cholesterol.
Protein in eggs is the most effective source of protein for muscle growth and prevention of muscle mass loss. As a matter of fact, eggs’ protein is even more effective of the ones which milk and beef can offer! This is the case as protein in eggs has the highest “biological value”. Furthermore, eggs contain Vitamin B12 which promotes fat breakdown!
Moral of the story, eggs are natural healthy food. A tip to all, when consuming or cooking eggs, always have a ratio of 3 egg whites to 1 egg yolk (ie 3 eggs’ white and only 1 egg’s yolk). That would keep you Flintstones-ly strong and Wilma-ly healthy! x
